Jackalope Brewery Tours

A stop at Jackalope Brewing Co. can start with tanks and fermenters and end three hours later on the patio with live music. What looks like one brewery stop on the itinerary has 29 taps, a full food menu, an outdoor stage, and enough reasons to linger that the next reservation suddenly matters. That unpredictability is exactly why a private vehicle makes sense, which is the idea behind our Jackalope Brewery tours. We drive you straight to the brewery and put the same vehicle with you for whatever the afternoon becomes.

Where 29 Taps Meet a Working Brewery Floor

At The Ranch, the tanks have almost as much presence as the taps. Production equipment sits just feet from the bar, so your next pint comes with a view of where it began. Your chauffeur brings you to 429B Houston Street in Wedgewood-Houston, Jackalope’s home since 2018.

With Jackalope and Black Abbey sharing 29 taps, the first round may involve a little friendly debate. The kitchen gives everyone a reason to order food, while cocktails argue for another direction entirely. Between the patio, board games, and live music, nobody rushes to ask “shall we head out?”

The drive over has its own entertainment: someone campaigning for a favorite beer, someone defending cocktails, and someone asking about food. Our chauffeur takes care of getting the group to Houston Street while the conversation warms up for the taproom.

What a Private Jackalope Tour Covers

The visit continues on the active production floor, where the brewery walks guests through its tanks, fermenters, equipment, and brewing process, then ends back at the bar with samples of Jackalope and Black Abbey beer. Jackalope reserves this private walkthrough for parties of 10 or more, which makes the visit a dedicated experience rather than general taproom traffic.

The tour also adds context to the brewery’s history. Bailey Spaulding and Robyn Virball founded Jackalope in 2011, and in 2013 it became the first Nashville craft brewery to put its beer in cans. In 2026, another chapter arrived when Jackalope acquired Black Abbey Brewing Company, and both brands now operate under the same roof, giving the tasting portion considerably more range than it had a few years ago.

The Crowd That Fills the Taproom

Some people come to inspect the fermenters. Others come because someone said “birthday drinks” and this sounded more promising than another crowded bar. Private celebrations have three spaces to choose from: the upstairs Loft seats up to 50, the Taproom seats 100, and the Patio seats 75.

Company events can include presentation equipment, catering, and brewery tours, so the slide deck can have its moment before the beer does. Jackalope can also brew a small-batch beer just for your company. The result is a company project everyone wants to sample.

Friends meeting for a casual afternoon need far less ceremony, though the first beer can still take some deciding. Jackalope can fill the visit on its own, or another Nashville brewery can round out the afternoon.

Weekday Tours vs. Weekend Taproom Hours

Monday through Thursday, the taproom opens from 4 to 10 p.m., with private tours available after 5 p.m. Jackalope therefore suits an after-work visit, including the colleague who shuts their laptop with suspicious enthusiasm when someone mentions beer.

Friday and Saturday hours run from noon to 10 p.m., leaving room for an afternoon tasting or an evening visit. On weekends, private tours run during regular taproom hours. Sunday closes at 7 p.m., so “we’ll go later” needs a slightly more convincing definition of later.

Private tours need advance coordination with Jackalope. Smaller parties can visit the taproom during opening hours and need no reservation. Four friends can enjoy a beer and skip recruiting six acquaintances who suddenly claim a deep interest in brewing.

A Few Ways to Reach The Ranch

A few friends sampling beer and a company taking over the Loft need different amounts of space. Our vehicle lineup gives you options for both, with passenger count and the rest of the outing guiding the choice.

  • A couple turns a Jackalope tasting into a date night, with dinner afterward and a few cans coming home as souvenirs. Our SUV takes them between both stops while they compare favorites. Bearwalker brings Vermont maple syrup into the conversation, adding an unexpected breakfast connection to the evening.
  • Ten friends book the private tour, then the chat lights up with two more asking to join. Our Sprinter Limousine seats up to 12, giving those last-minute additions a place beside the friend already rehearsing questions for the brewer. If the invitation list reaches 14, our Executive Sprinter lets the whole crew join in, including the friends who only came for the tasting.
  • After a company gathering at The Ranch, colleagues trade presentation notes for beer recommendations on the drive back. Our Limousine Coach seats up to 28, while our Motorcoach takes up to 56. The organizer gets to join the conversation, which may be the first unofficial item on the agenda.

Your Jackalope Brewery Tour Is Only Part of the Day

At Whiskey Trail Tours, we handle the driving so nobody has to draw the short straw at the tasting table. You can enjoy the maple syrup in your beer; we’ll take care of getting you to dinner afterward. Our contribution may not come in a pint glass, but it earns its place in the evening.

Tell us the Jackalope Brewery tour time, how many people are coming, and where the day heads next, even if dinner is still up in the air. Call us at (615) 942-1033, email us at info@whiskeytrailtours.com, or use our contact form so we can help choose the vehicle and connect the stops. You can settle the restaurant debate among yourselves.
